Taylor's journey to fame began on YouTube. She started by making ASMR videos using her smartphone. PewDiePie included her in an online gaming video just after she hit 50,000 subs approximately 1 1/2 months after launching the first video. Taylor's Youtube channel had reached 100,000 users within 2 months. Taylor ceased to produce videos and put them on private. She cited technical problems, equipment malfunctions, and the fact that she was overwhelmed with her fame. After taking a month off, Taylor started making new videos. Taylor created the cult ASMR 10 triggers that aid in sleeping (35 millions views in august 2022). ASMR 20, Triggers for Sleeping was released in July of 2017 and has since been seen by 38 million viewers. In August 2017, she was interviewed for a Shane Dawson's video. Shortly after, she was able to reach 1 million YouTube subscribers. In February of 2019, Wired UK estimated that she earned $1,000 a day through advertising through her YouTube channel.

Helfer was raised in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer. The two were born in the town of Donalda, Alberta Canada. The parents of her are Elaine and Dennis Helfer. She was a student at in the William E. Hay Composite High School which is located in Stettler (Alberta). She worked and lived on the family's farm alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. She was 17 when the agent of her modeling agency spotted her waiting in line in a theatre.
